Udodance I love this album because it is very warm, calm, essential and Lo-Fi without too many frills and plastic sounds. The songs are all instrumental, I don't like beatmakers who overfill the sound with all kinds of ringtones. I still love a job that is as artisanal as possible and this record is for me. I discovered DJ Paul Foley looking for news on the Roland ms-1 Sampler and in addition to having discovered this excellent vintage album I want to buy this old sampler to play a little bit of it. Favorite track: Spankology 101 (instrumental).

During my early years, I never really tried to make beats; I wrote raps. We either jacked other people's beats (12" instrumentals and tape loops) or had producers make us beats.
In 1997, I purchased Mister Jason's old Roland MS-1 sampler, as he had just upgraded to the Akai MPC-2000, and started to figure out how to sample and arrange beats. I started a DIY side project called Off To The Left which would eventually morph into Warm Bodies.
These are my very first productions, recorded onto cassette and sequenced on the fly. They are in chronological order, so they get "better" as time goes on.
Very simple and glacially slow in tempo. Not great, but very nostalgic for me.
